Sharks are a rare sight for most divers unless you go on a specific "shark" dive.  You really have nothing to fear if you happen to see a shark consider yourself lucky, sharks will avoid you as you are not anything of intrest.  Also do not panice or do anything to provoke the shark have fun and log it as a shark sighting.

I've not been to Cozumel, but I have been around lots of reef sharks and nurse sharks in the Caribbean, and reef and hammerhead sharks in the Pacific. Sharks pretty much ignore divers, except perhaps if you're spearfishing and have a wounded fish in your bag (I don't spearfish, so this is just hearsay).  The bigger sharks in cold water require more respect.
