I have heard through the downline that Rick Stratton who publishes Northeast Dive News is interested in purchasing Midwest Scuba Diving Magazine. Any comments?

If the offer is worthwhile, go for it.  Northeast Dive News is a good publication although not as visually appealling.

I just recently heard this rumor from a good friend who is very well connected in the dive industry. I have not had any discussion with Mr. Stratton, but I will call him so I can verify the rumor.

I really need the Midwest dive community to respond to my recent blog about print versus online publication. Your input is going to directly affect the future way in which we present this magazine. People are interested in our publication and we want to do the right thing. Please respond to the blog! Even you Hammerhead!

I have begun to prefer the online format though I see the need to continue putting out a print publication.  Going strictly to an online publication limits its access to new divers.  Having the print edition in dive shops and at locations frequented by divers keeps the name out there.
