I'm looking into going into the Navy after college. I have some experience scuba diving and I really enjoy it. I've looked into the Navy  diver program, but I'd like to speak to a real person with some Navy diving experience. My recruiter doesn't have the answers to some of my questions. Does anyone know someone who would talk to me about scuba diving for the Navy?

Thanks!

To be honest with you I was a Navy second class diver. It is NOT what you think it is. If you want to join the navy go ahead but be very careful about trying to associate sport diving with the hard core reality and hard work of Navy diving. I was in for 12 years with 1 years as a diver. I got out of it...but that's me. I enjoyed and still do enjoy sport diving but the "job" of Navy diving was not what I wanted as a diver. The physical part was not the but the situations. Talk to a police diver or an oil rig diver because those jobs are like a combo of a Navy diver.
