Just a quick hello from Marine City Michigan.
We're very active divers here on the St. Clair River between Port Huron and Detroit.
We do a lot of drift diving here in the river - very exciting. Many wrecks, but not a dive for the beginner as there is a LOT of freighter traffic and swift currents and freighters overhead is something you'll never get used to (me anyway).
Looks like many of you are in or near the Chicago area. We'll be there in February, as we will have a booth for our dive newtork at the Our World Underwater show.

 I'll be sure to stop and say hello to you at your booth, since I am making a weekend out of OWU, and well as helping out at the Underwater Archaeological Society of Chicago booth.  I dove in the St. Joseph river last month near Benton Harbor.  It was my first river dive.  Current and low viz, but it was fun.  Probably not as challanging as what you do!  Only an occasional bass boat to worry about!
