I am new in scuba diving. Does anyone know any good brands and models of underwater cameras? Eventually I would like to take some nice pictures while diving.

Needless to say, you want to get a decent digital camera. Canon and Olympus have a nice selection of high resolution models, many with factory underwater cases. Suggest you check out B&H Camera on-line. You probably want to consider an external strobe, too. Gives your flash much better reach, and avoids backscatter reflections. Finally, suggest you consider taking an underwater photo course. Your photos will MUCH better (ie... learning how to manually adjust white balance for ambient light photos, etc...).
Good luck!

New to the forums. Like the magazine alot! After years of shooting underwater stills with a Canon camera in an Ikelite housing, I have recently become a big fan of underwater video. I think video has a way of highlighting the entire experience of the dive rather than just a snapshot. Bonica makes an inexpensive high definition underwater video camera. It is really cool! Google Bonica.
