I have just updated my personal website at www.divemaxscuba.com My calender now is complete with info about classes and trips until March 2008. I have just uploaded 30 photos in two new categories in the photo gallery, Easter at Small Hope Bay and Labor day at Haigh Quarry. I will make every effort to keep my calender up to date and upload photos at least every month.

I will be also uploading photos to the MSD website and invite dive shops and individuals to do the same. Dive shops and independent instructors should be using the website forums to advertise trips, classes and equipment sales. It is a free resource set up for your use. Every post is immediately sent out to over 3000 individual subscribers in the Midwest region. What better way (cost effective) to promote your classes, events and equipment.

I have been receiving photos from our subscribers for the "backscatter" section of our magazine. Some people (even professional photographers) send us files that are to small. When the photos are printed they come out pixelated and blurred. I would like to suggest that if you use a digital camera it should be set always to large format and superfine resolution. These settings will print sharp and clear photos for print. The files will be large, but if you want to email the photos you can zip the file or burn a disc.
