I would like to suggest the John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park in Key Largo Florida. The reefs are shallow and easy and safe to explore. There is a lot to see. Florida is easy and inexpensive to get to.

I really liked the Crystal River National Marine Sanctuary in Crystal River Florida. It was a once in a lifetime experience diving with the manatees at King's springs. I dove with Captain Tracy from Native vacations. It was great! We also dove on the Rainbow River which was as clear as a glass of water. All easy dives. A lot of natural history.
