I'm in the market to buy a BC but really can't afford a new one. Does anyone out there have a BC in good condition they're looking to sell? I'm 6'0" tall and around 180 lbs.

How much can you afford ?

I have several BCD's left over from my shop, some are older models (double bladder) some newer, some never used.

PDSLTD - Thanks for replying but I found a used one online. I got a good deal on it (hopefully not too good a deal). If it doesn't work out, I'll be sure to get a hold of you. Thanks.

With all do respect, I am assuming that you are a entry level diver. I am not a big fan of inexperienced divers purchasing gear on the internet. I consider any diver with less than 100 logged dives to be inexperienced. Most divers don't really know one darn thing about fit, function, or maintenance. It has been my experience that when a diver purchases equipment online without professsional counsel the equipment has been incorrect. Everybody want to save money, but as Hammerhead commented on my blog about being "Qualified to dive unsupervised" a half assed attitude toward training or equipment is going to put you in a nine line bind which you may not be able to recover from. This is life support equipment that you have to live with for 10 or more years. It is very important that safety rather than price be the primary issue. So you may save $100, big deal! Where are you going to get it worked on. Owning dive equipment represents a long term commitment to safety. Many internet sellers aquire the product from gray market sources (such as failed dive shop operations) They are usually not authorized to sell or service a particular product. Most manufacturers will not warantee products sold by internet retailers. Do yourself and the dive community a favor, only purchase equipment from a knowledgeable professional whose primary concern is your safety and enjoyment.

I agree with Capt 100%
Most everything you buy on E Bay and some internet sites carry NO warranty from the manufacturer. The ads should state if a warranty FROM THE MANUFACTURER not the seller is in effect or null. I have knowingly purchased items - non life support - from sellers who will warranty the item which is good IF THEY STAY IN BUSINESS. Good luck in your purchases

I don't see a internet sale in this request, having been a dive professional for 25 years and a owner of a dive shop for 20+ years. (before retiring 4 years ago) this sale would only have taken place in person. If the person was not from the Chicago area I would have referred him to a source in his area.
I agree that internet sales are going to be the death of the local dive shops. I dread the day they figure out how to fill tanks using a broadband line. : )

If you look at the above thread it would seem that divedeep has purchased a BC through an online source even though you tried to help.
