I will be conducting a Nitrox course on Saturday February 23, 2008. I will be donating all of the proceeds from the course to the S.T.A.R.S program (www.starsinternational.org). This is a great program that utilizes scuba diving to instill a sense of responsibility and teamwork for "at risk" youth in the Chicago area. The kids not only become certified divers, but learn about physical fitness, responsibility, teamwork, and awareness for our environment. Many of the kids who have gone through this program have raised their grades, quit smoking (and other bad habits), and have become mentors to the next crop of candidates for the program. It truly is a great program that has produced some good kids. I will be providing free pizza and sodas for lunch. Below are the details:

There will be a barbeque after the event and Hammerhead will be slow smoking some 10 year olds.
