Skipper of the legendary Dive boat Seeker, Captain Dan Crowell  is no longer at the helm. But, he’s still heavily involved in diving as one of TDI’s top Instructor Trainers as well as an underwater cameraman and TV producer who has just wrapped up a four part series for the Military Channel, “Quest for Sunken Warships”. Dan’s been diving rebreathers for over a decade and has recognized that rebreathers are what the active divers of the future will be warring on their backs soon.

They’re not just for technical divers and The Great American Diving Company  is the road to the future!

I recognized the great potential rebreathers posed for deep diving over 10 year ago and have been diving rebreathers ever since. But, more importantly I recognized the great potential they posed for any active diver who was looking to extend their bottom time with much less hassle than using open circuit gear. They're not just for technical divers!

Many divers are under the impression that rebreathers are reserved for deep divers, tech or military divers only. This couldn't be further from the truth and I'm planning on dispelling these rumors. Rebreathers are just another way of doing what regular scuba dose but, in a much more efficient manner. Imagine never having to haul huge tanks down to the dive shop for fills or down a long dock to the dive boat. How about never having to figure out the best nitrox mix for a dive because no matter where you go you'll always have the perfect mix. How'd you like to be breathing warm moist gas that’ll help to keep you warm especially when diving in cold water? Or, how about doing a dive to 60 ft. for three hours with nothing more than what’s on you back and no decompression obligation? The reality is rebreathers offer the greatest benefits at recreational depths than at any other level.

One of the other rumors about rebreathers is that they are dangerous. Diving in general is a risky business and in my experience with the proper training I wouldn't consider rebreathers, such as the Inspiration and Evolution, to be any more dangerous than regular scuba, rebreathers just do it differently and so are the risks.

The Inspiration has been on the market now for over 10 years and the newer, smaller version, Evolution are both manufactured by the same company that produces much of the dive gear many of you already own. What does that mean to you? Support! Silent Diving Systems of North America are the North American distributors of Ambient Pressure's Inspiration and Evolution rebreathers which mean they're an established manufacture and distributor with a full infrastructure of support. No waiting for six months for delivery and if there is a problem, it's taken care of in just a few days, not months.

If you’d like to learn more, join me for a free rebreather orientation . The future is available to everyone today!

The number to call for information in the previous posting is incorrect.  The area code should be 636 not 314, so, the correct number is 636-949-0880.

Thanks,

-Matt
