I'm going to be staying at Maui and the Big Island for my honeymoon at the start of July.  I've heard great things about Molokini, so that's definitely on the list.  Does anyone have any recommendations on good or bad dive charters at either location?

Thanks,

Joe

I highly recommend Hawaiian Rafting Adventures in Maui for Lanai dives. I have logged over 120 dives with them. Steve is great

I would highly recommend using Maui Divers. I stayed at the big Island and Maui for two weeks last march and I had some of the best dives at Maui with Maui Divers.

Here are some of the dive Trips:

You'll have a real treat diving Molokini, with great visibility and a big variety of fish.  Go in the morning; the waves grow later in the day.  On the Big Island, Nan and I had great experience diving with Kona Honu divers, based in Kailua-Kona last February.  They have a big, comfortable boat and really good dive guides who point out all sorts of interesting marine life (and they are interesting characters in theior own right).  Besides a two-tank morning dive, we went on a twilight and night dive the next day to observe Manta Rays.  Divers sit around a big circle with bright light, which attract plankton.  Mantas sweep in to feast on the plankton, doing loop-the-loops and gliding over and around divers.  This was quite an experience.  Enjoy the diving...and your honeymoon.
