 Hi,

Looking for information on a recommended local dive store in St. John, USVI as well as must see dive sites near St. John.  Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Not sure of a dive operator on St. Johns, but I was on Tortola in April and dove on the wreck of the RMS Rhone.  St. Johns is very close to Tortola and the Rhone might be within range.  It was a great dive and I would go back again.  If you have the chance, I would recommend it. http://www.divebvi.com/rms_rhone.htm

Thanks Fishwatcher, DiveBVI is a great site.  I hope to dive the Rhone after I have completed my training with Captain Darrick. The Islands seem like a great place to dive.

My wife, Julie, and I enjoyed a number of scuba excursions while in St John two years ago.  We stayed at the Caneel Bay Resort, which is home base to an excellent dive operation called Paradise Watersports.  They also work out of the Cinnamon Bay National Park as well.   Every dive we took had no more than four or five divers (including us) and they were excellent.  Another operator we used was Cruz Bay Watersports, which is a much bigger operation with multiple boats.  Cruz Bay is slightly cheaper for a two-tank trip, but can be much more crowded.

Enjoy!
