I was wondering if some people can give me some good recommendations of places to dive throughout the world.  What is some of the best places to dive, that you have dove?  I have heard of great recommendations like Australia, Belize, SE Asia, but wanted to get some thoughts from people that frequent this forum.  I'm new to the sport, so I would be looking for some beginning to intermediate dives.  Thanks for your time.

Well thats a really tough question.  It all depends what you are interested in.  Do you like coral reefs, wild life, shipwrecks, caves, salt water, fresh water...

There are many places on my list to visit yet, but nearby a there are a couple of very cool dives.  Lake Michigan is home to many shipwrecks.  The cold fresh water is great for preserving these things and the visibility can be quite good.  And for an original, and in my opinion very cool experience, the mine in Bonne Terre is well worth the drive.
