I am considering buying a new regulator and am looking at the Scubapro MK25/S600 (Not the titanium version) and was wondering if anyone had any good or bad info on it.  I want it for extended range diving (150' to 250') mostly in Lake Michigan (temps in the low 40's).  I like the right angle first stage to help with a tighter profile.  I was looking at the scubapro line due to availability of service / parts anywhere I might travel.

thanks

You can't go wrong with the Scubapro, they are very popular with the tech crowd around here. You might also consider the DiveRite Hurricane, my own choice.

I am not the one who needs mental help. I just need to vent.

Thanks for the reply.  I am looking at that one now also.  :)  I'll probably end up ordering one of them today - I would like to use it on my trip in March.  I'll let you all know which way I went and how it turns out!

Well...  I couldn't decide so i bought both the Scubapro 25/600 and the Diverite Hurricane.  As for the scuba pro - I was torn between which first stage to buy.  The 25 offers a little better air flow (but both are beyond what I need delivered) but the low pressure ports are on a swivel - which is what pushed me for this one.  The 17 did not swivel but is a better cold water unit.  After talking to a bunch of people I decided that the risks of freezing with this unit and the type of diving I do are minimal so I went with the swivel.  The hurricane is rated as a cold water reg. I can't wait to try them both out and see any differences.

Thanks
Steve
