Does anybody know if United States Navy Seals are really issued or wear Luminox dive watches?

Just got the following reply from a friend of mine on Team-7

got issued a G-shock

-use the stop watch to keep track of the distance traveled ( 3 minutes per 100 yards) and also keep the total time on bag (re-breather).   Some guys use polaris watches too.

Hope this helps

I am not familiar with Polaris brand watches. Does anybody know anything about this brand? Also, was there a particular model G-Shock that the Seals were issued?

Hello Mark

As a former Navy SEAL we wore any watch of our choice.  I believe Luminox paid alot of money to be the official watch of the United States Navy S.E.A.L. s.  Critical operations we did receive syncronized watches with no markings.
