I'm a triathlete and I own a wetsuit for races. Out of curiosity, are there any other tri's out there who have used their wetsuit for diving as well? I'm very new to diving and was wondering if I could use my current wetsuit while I ramp up on other gear.

Presumably it depends on the thickness of your suit, and the temperature you're diving in...  In diving you tend to want to go slow to maximize your dive time, so you certainly need a thicker suit for diving than for fast swimming in a triathlon...

Most Triatholon wetsuits are 1mm. For local Illinoios diving, you'll need 5mm-7mm. The 5mm will give you a shorter season than the 7mm.
