I read the blog on page 7 of Captain's Blog. This place looks amazing! I am new to the area and never heard of it. I am interested in diving this site and would like to find out more from Captain Darrick about the weekend trip that was just completed. Anyone else familiar with this site? Could I get some feedback?

Bonne Terre is a great unique dive site. I highly recommend trying it once or twice. I find that people either love it after the first set of dives (we usually do 3 on Saturday and one Sunday) or appreciate the different type of diving but find it's not for them. The ice part is, the more you go the more you get to go on advanced trails, so every trip is different. I'm lucky enough to go with a group that's been going annually for a very long time, so we're constantly trying out new trails with one of the most fun dive guides, a guy called "Bear".
Check out ALL the details by going to one of the regular group's website, http://www.silent-helm.com/. Go to "Expedition Stills", he does a write-up nearly every year but start with the latest ones (ignore any commentary on my poor diving or behavior <<grin>>)
If you really want to just see photos, without commentary, you can go to "Current Projects" on the left hand side then it's the one that's called "The Bonne Terre Lead Mine Exploration and Artifact Documentation Project" (no, the group isn't nearly as serious as we try to make it sound :)

Be warned, the water is cold. No one told me that and almost had a heart attack when I jumped in. It's about 58 or 68 i think they had said. I don't remember but it wasn't Caribbean warm.
