How deep is Haigh Quarry, and are there any sunken artifacts worth visiting?

Thanks,

Ken

Most of the quarry is between 20 and 40 feet deep. The deepest point is about 75 feet. There are a number of pieces of old mining equipment from when it was an active quarry and the owners have sunk some items like an old fishing boat and a truck for divers to play on.
Safe diving,
Cpt. Dale

What are the water temps of the Quarry in the summer, spring, & fall.  I am trying to figure out how cold it is there- in contrast to Pearl.

Thanks!

So if Pearl was 59 degrees this weekend- what would Haigh be around this time?  I'm debating taking a nitrox class that has a dive in November at Haigh.

I'm also wondering if anyone knows how strict they are about the no non-divers under 12 rule?  My son sits at the lake edge and plays his gameboy while my spouse and I dive- any suggestions?  He has been doing this for a year now and there hasn't been any problems where we have been in the past.

Thanks!

I believe they are very strict. You might want to call Haigh and talk with someone there...probably Tina. I was there over the summer dropping off magazines and I asked Tina about it and she said they were very strict.
