My husband and I were originally planning on going to Mermet the day after Thanksgiving with our local dive shop.  From my last communication with them- it appears that currently they are unable to find anyone to lead the trip.

Our son travels with us- so we can't go alone.  We were wondering if there would be anyone who would be interested in going and being buddies with us.  One parent stays with the kids, while the other dives- or something like that.  I guess in reality- we only need one person?  Our son is easily kept occupied by his gameboy, but I would never leave him alone without supervision.

Does anyone have suggestions?

I would suggest talking with Glen Faith, Mermet's owner. He frequently has someone there just to buddy up with solo divers, or can find you a buddy. He'll bend over backwards to take care of his customers.

I am not the one who needs mental help. I just need to vent.
