I am a newly certified diver and have been hearing about Bonne Terre Mines. I looked at the website. It looks spectacular , but Is this a safe dive for a newly certified diver. Can some of you out there share your experience about this dive.

Toucan Dive brings lots of new divers to Bonne Terre Mine every year. When you dive, there is always several guides in the water that are going to take you on one of their many trails. Trails start with beginner trails, and continue on to many advanced trails. Prior to going on your first trail, they will require you to do a few skills such as partial flood of mask, regulator recovery, buoyancy, and alternate air source breathing with a buddy. The great thing about Bonne Terre Mine is that all of us are in very close proximity of a very special place! There are those that travel all over from the states and Europe to dive this wonderful natural resource! For us, it's only 6 hours away! The best way to go, is to go with a dive shop or a buddy rather than solo, to have a great experience. Hope this will help you!

Rick at Toucan Dive runs great trips to Bonne Terre! There is however a situation which I would like to inform you of. I am planning a trip to Bonne Terre on Saturday November 15th for 3 dives. I can accomodate new divers and divers who have done the first two sets of trails. 3 divers canceled so I have space available and I can offer it a discount because of the late cancellation. Contact me if you are interested at 773-732-8972
