I'm very curious about high altitude scuba diving. I'd like to get more information about this particular training, but I'd like a reliable source. I'm not sure that PADI offers this type of training. Does anyone know a good source for this information?

Most certification agencies, PADI included, have altitude diving training programs available.  If you live in an area in which there are lakes above 1000 ft elevation you should be able to find numerous instructors in your area that teach the course.  If you do not live in the mountains, I would advise you to travel to such a place to take your training.  You should always select a diver who actually does the kind of diving you are interested in learning about to be your instructor.  The theory of altitude diving is fairly straight forward.  A good article about it can be found at http://www.8thelementdiving.com/scuba_math/altitude.php
