So I first learned to dive from a friend of the family when I was about 10 or 11.  He was into cave diving and would tell me about all the trips he would go on.  I loved diving from the first breath I took underwater and the thought of going into a cave seemed like the perfect way to spend my time.  I dove a lot with him and a couple other people when I was young and then life took over.  Between growing up, going to college, starting a career and a family diving was far from on my mind.  Until at the gym I saw the signs for scuba diving with Darrick.  I went to the orientation and knew before I even went that I was signing up for the class.  The whole time my thoughts were on cave diving.  I had gotten sidetracked over the years completing my instructor certification, taking the tri-mix course with Capt. Dale, Completeing the narcosis management class to 240' with Hal Watts...  Well last summer I had the plan to start the cave diving classes this past winter - I even had something lined up for Florida in March, but ended up having to cancel due to money and not quite knowing what was coming since my career is related to the construction industry.  So I finally signed up for my first class, the Cavern Class, at Bonne Terre Mine.  The class is the weekend of June 27-28.  From what I understand the class is taught by either Mike Cody or Bear - Both excellent divers with tons of experience.  I can't wait!
