Dell has Image Expert software that has an excellent quick fix function which immediately applies a fix to digital photos that are poorly lit. This software has helped me turn poor digital photo's into nice images. It is very easy to use you just click on quick fix and it automatically makes the adjustment. If you don't like the adjustment don't save it. I really like this feature and use it often.

Hey Darrick...nice forum topic to start. Be sure to also check out Picasa by Google (http://picasa.google.com). Picasa is free software that allows you to easily manage and edit your photos. It automatically finds photos on your computer and helps you create albums. You can also very easily alter the colors, broghtness, etc. And it allows you to create slideshows, burn photos/slideshows to CDs/DVDs and upload photos to sites that allow you to purchase online (i.e. Shutterfly, etc.). Check it out.

I prefer ACDSee and Photoshop to do almost anything to my digital pictures

coustyj,
I absolutely agree. I built websites for a living and would be lost without Adobe Photoshop. But Photoshop is more of an advanced product that requires at least some training. Most people need a simple product that does the hard stuff through an easy interface.

That is where ACDSee comes in forgot the price had it for years.
Very GOOD and basic what I can not accomplish with it I use Photoshop for. A few quick lessons from UW photog guru Bo H. (from Sea and Sea an excellent resource and freind) got me on my way with photoshop

I found a $99 or less product by adobe called Photoshop Elements which adds a nice "quick fix" feature, so a dummy like me can use it, but it also has some pretty nice advanced features too.
I lost the use of my strobe in Thailand, and I thought I lost all the pictures from my first two days, but the quick fix in Elements was able to bring them back.
